We get a lot of calls about the installation process on our JLU Aluminum Belly Skid Systems. We are so happy to have this detailed installation video from the Lite Brite team of this system getting installed. The first ~10 minutes of this video cover the entirety of installation on a 3.6 V6 equipped JLU. Installation is nearly identical for 2.0 Turbo and 392 V8 Systems -- although the 392 V8 systems have 2 additional components to protect exhaust that are covered in more detail in our installation instructions. If you've got any questions on install, please watch this video in addition to reading through the instructions, and then give us a call if you have any unanswered questions!

@John Dudek: this skid system has been adapted to work with the TeraFlex Alpine Long Arm kit by some of our customers; however it does require some trimming of the aluminum along the frame rail where the lower rear control arms mount on the frame and would have otherwise interfered with the aluminum. It’s not very labor intensive, and can be done with an angle grinder and a cut off wheel.

Will this skid plate system work for a JLUR with a TeraFlex alpine long arm suspension without having to do any cutting or modifications to it?
