In this video, Jacob and Tyler go through the assembly of the fuel tank and transfer case skids for our 7000-Series Belly Skid System on the 2.0, 3.6 and 392 Hemi Jeep Wrangler JL. Follow along with this video for torque specs and assembly step by step, so you can be ready to complete the installation.

This assembly requires basic hand tools, and can be done prior to pulling your vehicle into your garage or onto a shop lift. We recommend knocking all of this out prior to starting the installation to reduce your Jeep's down time.

Once you've completed this, check out the installation video here!

These are our Next Generation Skid Plates made from 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy - about twice the strength of the 6061 and 5052 alloys you'll find on the market. It's even stronger than A36 Steel! Combine this strength with Ultra High Molecular Weight PE (UHMW) and you've got the strongest, best performing skids for any trail under your Jeep.

This is just the assembly video - if you want to learn more about the features and design choices of this system, check out the introduction video here!

Want to learn more about aluminum alloys and their strengths? Check out our Material Throw Down video here, where we compare 5052 vs 6061 vs 7075 vs A36 Steel.
