Why 5052 Aluminum and Steel?

• 5052 aluminum main Panel — chosen deliberately. It forms without cracking and keeps its strength through the weld. Alloys that win on a datasheet give much of it back at every weld seam; ours doesn't.
• Steel-reinforced hinge and bracket points. The hybrid approach - Steel where it pivots and carries load, aluminum everywhere else. It's also why ours carries ~20% more metal than the competition — weight spent exactly where drop-down tailgates fail.

Installation & Technical Notes

• Installation Difficulty: Moderate - Kit does require some minor cutting of the body sheet metal and plastic trim. (basic hand tools and power tools required).
• Hardware Included: Includes all required mounting brackets, latches, and zinc plated hardware for installation.
