JL Front Bumper - Aluminum Adventure Series

Looking for our Adventure Series styling in a lightweight but stout package? We have modified our Adventure Series bumpers, by changing out nearly every component for a slightly thicker, however lighter weight aluminum component. This bumper is designed around the very popular Warn Zeon 10/12S models, and may also work with other similar size winches. If you're looking for the "foot forward" mount 8274 winch compatible version of this bumper that we offer, click here!

Product Details

Crafted from 1/4" Aluminum, along with 1" thick steel recovery points welded to a 1/4" thick steel inner winch tray, this front bumper is both lightweight and stout-where-it-counts so that you can hit the hardcore trails with confidence!

This bumper can be run by itself, as an ultra-high clearance bumper, or configured with the lower front skid as shown. The lower front skid fully protects the Rubicon sway bar disconnect motor -- many on the market only appear to but leave the very bottom or back of the disconnect components exposed.

The tube work shown is a bolt on stinger, available in a 7" height and 11" height as measured from the top of the bumper. The tube work is bolt on, and made from 2" 120 wall DOM Steel. The tube work ties into the bumper's inner steel winch tray when bolted in, offering greater strength and tie-ing all 3 components (stinger, shell and winch tray) together once fastened into place.

Lighting Options

By default, this bumper comes equipped to reuse your factory/OEM foglights inside the winch tray. If you wish to use the Baja SAE Foglights shown in these pictures, please put that in your order notes or contact us so we can note that in your order! LP4 and LP6 models will also fit on top of this bumper with the stinger option bolted on if so desired.

FAQ

  • Can I use this Front bumper with my factory front skid plate that came with my steel bumper package?
    • No. Due to the increased approach angle and clearance we were after, the bottom of this bumper sits much higher than the factory bumper and leaves a significant gap. The factory steel bumper package front skid that bolts to the bumper simply doesn't reach high enough to bolt in place.
  • Can I flat tow using the recovery points on this bumper?
    • Yes. The recovery points are machined to match the size of most tow bar pins -- thus eliminating the need for bolt-on adapters anywhere. The recovery points are connected directly to the frame via the steel winch tray and do not rely on the aluminum bumper body whatsoever -- the aluminum bumper body takes no load while towing.
  • Can I order this bumper Powder Coated?
    • Yes. However, the lead time can vary greatly depending on the choice of powder coat and other things in the queue. Please call us if you would like to order this bumper powder coated in a color other than our standard texture black.
  • What Foglights can be mounted in this bumper?
    • There are 3 different mounting patterns found on OEM/Factory Fog Lights. Need help identifying which lights you might have? Click here!

Additional Details

Products are designed and fabricated to fit vehicles that have varying tolerances from the factory, minor hand fitting may be required.

Products are shipped bare metal unless otherwise specified by the customer. Bare metal products may have scratches or surface imperfections as a result of raw material handling, manufacturing, and fabrication. However, these imperfections are easily covered up with a textured powder coat finish. Additional finishing, sanding, and prep work may be required if you wish to also have them finished with a smooth powder coat or paint.

Projected lead times are estimates only, and are subject to changes due to production realities, including material and labor availability and sudden variability in order volume. Lead times are not guaranteed, but we do guarantee that we are hard at work trying to get the best product we can produce and into our customers’ hands as quickly as possible.

All Next Venture Motorsports products are laser cut, CNC formed, and hand-weld with pride in the USA. We are a Colorado-based business, and welcome visitors by appointment at our Grand Junction, CO headquarters. We hope to see you out there on the trail soon!

Neat and easy to install

I installed this over the weekend and it was one of the easiest bumper installs I've ever done. I managed to get it fitted in bare metal, pull it off again, paint it, and reinstall it over the weekend. Everything here fits well and is easy to install - just don't tighten up the frame horn bolts/nuts prior to putting Jeep's little brackets on - those one's that tie it back to the frame.

It'd be nice to have printed instructions and maybe slightly more clearance on the front winch mounting bolts - but those are very easy things to deal with.

The bumper came up packaged very well, no issues there.

Great build quality!

The bumper fitment was great. It was a bit more of an effort to get on than I thought but when you’re dealing with that good of a fit it is what it is. The Warn VR evo 10k series does NOT fit this bumper without a little modification. Overall all I’m very pleased with the craftsmanship of a great American company.

Great Bumper & Great Quality - A little difficult to install - My video notes here

I love the bumper. It is of excellent quality. I did struggle a bit to put it on. You can see my install notes video here: https://youtu.be/20qJDykmwG8

Best bumper

Mounted on a 2022 Rubicon 4xe with 2.5” Clayton of road short arm lift and 37” Nitto trail Grapplers.

Got my bumper in aluminum without a stinger, with a skid plate to protect the Sway Bar disconnect motor and got the winch plate powder coated Grumpy blue (4xe blue) under a black powder coat exterior. Holds my Warn 10-S winch and was a perfect fit.

NVM has the best quality stuff. Welds are impeccable. Thickness and strength are first priority and they don’t disappoint. Staff is very easy to communicate with and helpful.

I used a flip up Fishbone front license plate mount which mounts with the fairlead bolts. All works very well together.

Factory fog lights were easy to retain.

Gives a much more aggressive look, improves approach to big rocks and gives a good platform to stand on when working under the hood.

Great looking Bumper

Great looking bumper. Took some persuasion to get it to fit right on my jeep but got it to work. It does not fit a Badlands Apex 12k Winch, like I had planned to put on it. I have the Warn zeon 12s on order, so hopefully that will fit.

Stock fog lights fit with some minor modifications to the fog light housing. Nothing major but had to trim the plastic. They were from a 2023 plastic bumper rubicon.

The support from NVM was top notch. Called during install to discuss some problems and the team was very helpful and great to work with.
