JL 2-door 6 Inch Stretch Rear Fender Flares
Aluminum fender flares that complete the new rear profile and give your stretched JL 2-door functional flare coverage. They tie seamlessly into the corner armor for a finished look and extra protection. (Check your local fender laws if running very wide axles and tires)

JL 2-Door 6" Stretch Rear Inner Fender Liners
Bolt-in aluminum inner fenders that finish the rear wheel wells after trimming. They tie the body, armor, and flares together while clearing the Rock Krawler rear shock mounts from the 6-inch stretch suspension system. These panels also cover most of the cut areas and hide the relocated EVAP canister inside the passenger-side wheel well, keeping everything protected and looking factory-clean.

An aluminum panel that replaces the factory plastic cubby to clear space for axle up-travel and easier exhaust routing. It closes off the floor so there are no open holes in the cargo area, giving the rear interior a clean, finished look after the stretch.

The Next Venture JL 2-Door 6-Inch Stretch Armor Kit is designed for experienced builders or professional fabrication shops. Installing this system is a significant project — it involves cutting, welding, and precision alignment work to extend the wheelbase and integrate the Rock Krawler 6-Inch Stretch 3-Link suspension system.
You’ll remove and reposition the rear axle approximately six inches to achieve the new geometry. The kit’s aluminum armor ties the rear corner, fender flare, and inner structure together, creating both strength and a clean visual line. Because the armor overlaps trimmed body areas, minor cutting imperfections are hidden, allowing the final fit and finish to look CNC-perfect even when cut by hand.
The factory fuel tank is retained — no need for a fuel cell or interior modifications. That means no lost cargo space, no interior fuel fumes, and full emissions compliance. The kit also includes hardware for EVAP relocation, fuel-filler mounting, and wiring provisions for the included ORO LED tail lamps.
Plan for 40 – 60 hours of shop time depending on experience and available equipment. A lift, MIG/TIG welding capability, angle grinders, body saws, torque tools, and measuring jigs are recommended. If you’re not comfortable performing chassis or suspension fabrication, we recommend contacting a Rock Krawler–certified shop or another qualified off-road builder familiar with link-suspension conversions. Once complete, you’ll have a JL 2-Door with the ideal 103-inch wheelbase — stable on climbs and descents, yet compact and agile on tight trails.

Make sure your JL 2-Door is clean underneath, with the rear axle, suspension, and fuel system accessible. Bringing it into the shop full of mud isn't the best way to start!
We recommend removing the rear bumper and fender flares ahead of time and verifying that your shop has welding capability, a lift or jack stands, and accurate measuring tools for wheelbase alignment.
Don't forget to order the Rock Krawler Suspension stretch kit before beginning as well!
Expect 40–60 hours of fabrication and assembly time depending on shop experience and equipment. This includes cutting, welding, and fitting the Rock Krawler 6” Stretch 3-Link suspension components.
If you're addressing other upgrades at the same time (axles/gears for example), or paint/powder coat, plan accordingly.
You’ll need:
MIG/TIG welder, angle grinder or cutoff tool, body saw, drill and step bits, torque wrench, level, measuring tools, jack stands or lift, and standard automotive hand tools.
A lift isn’t mandatory, but it makes life much easier. The work can be done on jack stands, but accurate geometry and welding access are far simpler with the vehicle raised.
Installation and fabrication labor/hours will increase without a lift.
No — this is a fabrication-level installation. It involves cutting the rear body panels, relocating the axle six inches, and welding new suspension and armor components into place.
No. This kit is designed to integrate with the Rock Krawler JL 6” Stretch T-Rex 3-Link System. Using factory or other suspension setups will not provide proper geometry or link clearance.
No. The factory fuel tank is retained — there’s no need for a fuel cell. That means no interior fuel tank, no lost cargo space, and no fumes inside the cab.
The kit includes EVAP relocation mounts and hardware. You’ll need to extend a few EVAP lines using fuel-rated hose or hard line, but no wiring modifications are required. The tires extend further back, so rear bumpers may require trimming or custom fitting. We recommend our JL rear frame chop bumper for clearance to large tires. Rock sliders typically remain compatible if they're body mounted. Frame mounted sliders may require modification in order to work with the Rock Krawler rear 3-link lower control arms and lower control arm mounts.
Yes. The kit includes ORO LED tail lamps, pre-cut mounting points, and wiring accommodations.

Yes, you’ll need an extended rear driveshaft and may need to adjust rear brake lines or exhaust routing depending on your setup. Your fabricator can handle these adjustments during installation.
We recommend 38–42-inch tires for ideal proportion, clearance, and performance.

where does the fuel go now?
Due to the shape of the stretch corner armor, the OEM fuel door has to go. You will find your filler behind the driver tail lamp once you're done!

If you're close to Grand Junction Colorado, we're happy to arrange local pickup. NO, the kit will NOT fit in the back of your 2 door JL!
UPS is going to make sense for most shipping needs, however LTL/palletized shipments to the East coast may beat those rates. We're happy to help put together LTL rates, so just give us a call!
