2018+ Jeep JL/JLU Lower Tub Corner Armor
Our JL/JLU Lower Tub Corner Armor is designed to protect, strengthen, and finish the lower rear corner of your Wrangler -- the area below your tub armor that often stays exposed, especially when you are running a frame chop, stubby rear bumper, or other minimalist rear bumper setup.
If you wheel your Jeep hard and you are already contacting your rear corner armor, there is a good chance you are getting into this lower section too. This armor helps cover that vulnerable lower pinch seam area while also strengthening the tub and completing the look of an armored rear body.
Built from 3/16-inch 5052-H32 aluminum, each set is formed and welded in a fixture to keep fitment consistent from part to part. The design uses the advantages of lightweight aluminum along with an added second plane for improved stiffness and strength, giving you functional protection without unnecessary bulk.
This is a great match for our JL tub armor and makes a lot of sense for customers building a Jeep with a more high-clearance, minimalist rear setup. It is also a great way to add strength and finish out the lower rear corner of the Jeep, even on builds that already have additional rear protection in place.

FAQ: Why 5052-H32 instead of 6061 or 7075 aluminum?
We chose welded 5052-H32 aluminum because this part is a formed, welded armor component. That gives us excellent formability, strong corrosion resistance, and better real-world performance in a welded application, instead of relying on unwelded 6061-T6 strength numbers that are reduced once heat is introduced through welding. 7075-T6 offers even higher raw strength on paper, but it is not well suited to being bent and welded into this type of part.
Why We Built It
There are only so many ways to protect this part of the body, but we wanted a solution that stayed true to our approach -- clean, lightweight, functional armor that looks right and holds up to real use.

Our team got into the game after rock crawling, wrenching, fabricating and being inspired to design and build parts for what we love to do: hit the trail.
