JLU Rear Corner Armor (Full Corner/Blank)

Our evolution of our original corner armor for the JL! When we released the first ever JL corners to the market, we wanted a precise fit, and the ability to offer up full compatibility with factory tail lamps and the blind spot detection system. As we've seen more of our customers go after hardcore trails and making decisions based on rock crawling, the need for full corner armor became evident.

These are precisely formed to match your JL's body from 3/16" thick aluminum plate for the thickest, most robust corner armor you can buy for your Jeep! If you're going to count on your armor on the trail, you'll want to avoid plastic and thinner gauge metal guards. These are *NOT* compatible with factory rear tail lamps -- which means these are *NOT* compatible with your blind spot detectors. As anyone who has repaired trail damage and replaced sheet metal on a Jeep will tell you, it's not a big deal to replace a fender, the hood, or a door since they were meant to unbolt anyways. The body tub technically can be unbolted from everything and replaced; however, it is bolted to everything from the frame, to your steering, brakes, and electrical harnesses. You can now protect and strengthen the largest and most integral piece of sheet metal on your JLU with our Rear Corner Armor set.

Product Details

Unlike previous Wranglers, the JL really has some curves, so we've done everything we can to wrap tightly around them with this corner armor. About the only thing they won't protect on the corner is the tail lights themselves. We've had our fair share of cracked, broken, and even water-collecting JL tail lamps at this point, and recommend either our oval LED option (included when optioned) or outfit these with your favorite lights like a Maxbilt LED!

Drilling of the body tub sheet metal and placement of 1/4"-20 rivet nuts are required for installation. Rivet nuts and button head hardware are included.

Additional Details

If ordering with oval LED cutouts, the LED's are included and are pre-wired, however you'll need to turn off the factory health monitor for the rear turn signals via a JL Tazer or visit your local dealership in order to turn off any dash warnings.

Products are designed and fabricated to fit vehicles that have varying tolerances from the factory, minor hand fitting may be required.

Products are shipped bare metal unless otherwise specified by the customer. Bare metal products may have scratches or surface imperfections as a result of raw material handling, manufacturing, and fabrication. However, these imperfections are easily covered up with a textured powder coat finish. Additional finishing, sanding, and prep work may be required if you wish to also have them finished with a smooth powder coat or paint.
